Monitor SSL certificate expiration

StatusGator can monitor the SSL certificate for any website monitor and notify you before it expires. This helps you renew certificates in time and avoid browser security warnings or service interruptions.

Enable SSL monitoring

1. Go to Monitors.

2. Select the website monitor you want to configure.

3. Open the Settings tab.

4. Scroll to SSL Monitoring.

5. Turn on Enable SSL monitoring.

6. Configure the certificate status thresholds:

   • Warn status: Choose how many days before expiration the certificate should display a Warn status.

   • Down status: Choose how many days before expiration the certificate should display a Down status.

7. Save your changes.

For example, if Warn status is set to 7 days and Down status is set to 1 day:

• The monitor will show a Warn status when the certificate has seven days or fewer remaining.

• The monitor will show a Down status when the certificate has one day or less remaining.
