Difference between Admin SSO and Status Page SSO

StatusGator offers two distinct SSO (Single Sign-On) options, each serving different purposes and user groups.

Admin SSO

  • Available on all multi-user plans.
  • Used by your teams who manage monitors, configure boards, and set up notifications.
  • Protects access to your StatusGator account, requiring users to log in via SSO for administrative purposes.

Status page SSO

  • Available only on the Enterprise plan.
  • Controls access to your public-facing status page, making it accessible only to users within your company.
  • Ideal for internal status pages—useful when you want to restrict visibility to your organization rather than making it public.
  • Configured separately from account SSO and allows a broader set of users (e.g., all employees) to access the status page securely.
