Connect StatusGator to Discord
You can connect StatusGator to Discord to receive real-time service status updates directly in your Discord server.
Set up the integration
- Open your Discord server and go to the channel where you want to receive updates.
- From the channel settings, select Integrations → Webhooks.
- Click New Webhook.
- Set up a Webhook name, avatar (optionally) and confirm the channel where you want alerts to appear, then copy the Webhook URL.
- Go to your StatusGator board.
- Navigate to Integrations → Chat and click Add next to Discord.
- Paste the Webhook URL into the configuration field.
- Save your settings and send a test notification to confirm everything is working.
That’s it — your board is now connected to Discord, and updates will appear directly in the channel you selected.
Features
Once connected, StatusGator delivers key updates to your server:
- Real-time notifications – get instant alerts when one of your monitored services has an outage, degradation, or scheduled maintenance.
- Early Warning Signals – receive alerts about potential issues before they appear on official status pages.
Manage multiple boards
Each board in StatusGator can be connected to one Discord channel. If you’d like different alerts to go to different channels (for example, Engineering vs. Support), create an additional board in StatusGator and connect it to another Discord channel using its own webhook.
Reconnect or change Discord channels
- Change channel – create a new webhook in Discord for the desired channel, then update the integration settings in StatusGator with the new URL.
- Remove integration from one board – go to the board’s Integrations page in StatusGator and click Remove integration.
- Reconnect to Discord – re-create the webhook in your chosen channel, copy the new URL, and re-add it in StatusGator.
