Connect StatusGator to Zoom Rooms

The Zoom Rooms integration allows StatusGator to monitor the connectivity and health of your Zoom Rooms devices. Once connected, StatusGator continuously checks your Zoom Rooms deployment and alerts you if devices become unavailable or experience connectivity issues.

Important: The Zoom account used to connect the integration must have account administrator permissions.

Features

  • Monitor the connectivity of Zoom Rooms devices.
  • Receive alerts when Zoom Rooms become unavailable.

Set up the integration

In StatusGator

  1. Go to Integrations.
  2. Select Zoom Rooms.
  3. Click Connect Zoom account. You will be redirected to Zoom to authorize the connection.

In Zoom

  1. Review the permissions requested by StatusGator Monitoring.
  2. Click Allow to authorize the application.

The integration requests read-only access to:

  • View Zoom Rooms
  • View Zoom Room devices

Finish setup in StatusGator

After authorization, you'll be redirected back to StatusGator.

  1. (Optional) Update the Display name for the integration. This name appears in your list of integrations.
  2. Click Save.

Once saved, StatusGator will begin monitoring your Zoom Rooms devices.

What happens next

After the integration is connected and saved, StatusGator automatically creates a monitor for your Zoom Rooms deployment.

You can find it by going to Monitors, where a new Zoom Rooms status monitor will appear.

Click the monitor to view its details.

On the Components tab, you'll see:

  • Each Zoom Room listed as a component group.
  • All devices assigned to that room (such as room computers or controllers) listed as child components.
  • The current status of every room and device.

When to use Reconnect account

In most cases, you won't need to reconnect your Zoom account. However, you should use Reconnect account if:

  • Your Zoom administrator revoked StatusGator's authorization.
  • The Zoom Rooms integration becomes disconnected because the authorization was revoked.

Note: In very rare cases, an authorization token may expire unexpectedly due to an internal issue. If this happens, click Reconnect account and complete the authorization process again.
