Connect StatusGator to Microsoft Teams using Workflows
You can connect StatusGator to Microsoft Teams using the Workflows feature in Teams. Once set up, your team will receive real-time service status notifications in the selected Teams channel.
Important: Connectors will soon be phased out completely by Microsoft.
To ensure uninterrupted service, you should use Workflows when integrating Microsoft Teams with StatusGator.
Set up the integration
- Open Microsoft Teams and go to the channel where you want to receive StatusGator updates.
- Click the channel name, then select Workflows.
- In the Workflows panel, search for and choose Post to this channel when a webhook request is received.
- In the next steps, you’ll be asked to name the Webhook URL, confirm the correct Team and channel, and copy the Webhook URL generated by Microsoft Teams.
- Go to your StatusGator board.
- Navigate to Integrations → Chat and click Add next to Microsoft Teams.
- Paste the webhook URL into the configuration field.
- Save your settings and send a test notification to confirm everything is working.
That’s it — your board is now connected to Teams, and updates will appear directly in your chosen channel.
Features
Once connected, StatusGator delivers key updates directly into your Teams channel:
- Real-time notifications – get instant alerts when one of your monitored services has an outage, degradation, or scheduled maintenance.
- Early Warning Signals – receive alerts about potential problems before they appear on official status pages, giving your team extra time to prepare or respond.
Manage multiple boards
Each board in StatusGator can be connected to one Microsoft Teams channel. If you’d like different alerts to go to different Teams channels (for example, Engineering vs. Support), create an additional board and connect it to another channel using a new workflow.
Reconnect or change Teams channels
- Change Teams channel – create a new workflow in Teams to generate a new webhook URL, then update the integration in StatusGator with that URL.
- Remove integration from one board – go to the board’s Integrations page in StatusGator and click Remove integration.
- Reconnect to Teams – re-create the workflow in Teams, copy the new webhook URL, and re-add it in StatusGator.
