Customize status page
Your status page in StatusGator is fully customizable. You can configure its content, branding, layout, and visibility to match your organization’s needs. Customization options are organized into several tabs inside the Status Page settings.
General settings
- Titles – Set your status page title, subtitle, and optional intro text (supports Markdown).
- Domain – Use a default StatusGator subdomain or connect your own custom domain.
- Links – Add your company website URL, support contact, and additional footer links.
- Additional settings – Choose whether to show StatusGator branding, display maintenance pages, or allow a page selector if you manage multiple status pages.
Design
- Logo and favicon – Upload your branding (supports light and dark mode logos).
- Themes – Choose light, dark, or system default theme.
- Layout – Select from 1, 2, or 3 column layouts.
- Colors – Customize primary and secondary colors for light and dark themes.
- Header style – Pick between the default “original” style or a bold header design.
Monitors
- Show/hide monitors – Select which monitors appear on your status page.
Subscribers
- Subscriber settings – Allow users to subscribe to updates by email.
- Brand emails – Customize notification emails with your own logo, domain, or sender address.
- Report outages – Enable users to report issues directly, creating email alerts or helpdesk tickets for your team.
- Subscriber management – Invite, view, and manage individual subscribers.
Analytics
- StatusGator analytics – View total page views, daily average views, new subscribers, and outage reports.
- Third-party analytics – Connect Google Analytics with a tracking ID.
Privacy
- Access control– Choose between:
- Public – Anyone with the link can view your page.
- Password protected – Visitors must enter a password.
- SAML Single Sign-On (SSO) – Restrict access using your organization’s identity provider.
- Disabled – Keep your status page private (only visible to admins).
- Search visibility – Optionally hide your page from search engines.
Best practices
- Use your own domain and branding for maximum trust with users.
- Keep the list of monitors focused on services your users care about.
- If using a private page, clearly communicate access instructions to your internal team.
