Manage your Slack integration
After connecting StatusGator to Slack, you may need to adjust your settings over time — such as changing the channel where alerts appear, switching Slack workspaces, or removing the integration from a specific board. This guide explains each option and how to manage them.
Change the Slack channel
If you’d like to send updates to a different channel in the same Slack workspace:
- Go to your board’s Integrations page.
- Find the Slack integration and use the channel dropdown.
- Select the new channel and click Save.
Tip: Can’t find your channel in the list? Paste the channel URL manually.
Remove Slack from the board
If you no longer want a particular board to send updates to Slack but want to keep other boards connected:
- Open the board in StatusGator.
- Go to Integrations.
- Click Remove integration next to Slack.
This will stop updates for that board only. Other boards with Slack enabled will continue sending updates.
Change the Slack workspace (affects all boards)
If you want to connect StatusGator to a different Slack workspace, you must remove the current Slack app. This will disconnect all boards that use Slack.
- Go to the Slack configuration page in StatusGator.
- Under the Configuration tab, scroll to the Remove App section.
- Click Remove app.
- Re-add Slack and authorize it in your new workspace.
- Reconnect each board to the channel of your choice.
Reconnect Slack
If you’ve removed Slack (either from a board or a workspace), you can reconnect at any time:
- Go to Integrations → Chat.
- Click Add next to Slack.
- Authorize the connection.
- Select your Slack channel and click Save.
- Send a test notification to confirm everything is working.
