Connect StatusGator with FireHydrant
The FireHydrant integration automatically creates incidents in your FireHydrant account when a monitored service experiences downtime. This ensures your incident response process is fast and consistent by logging issues directly into your FireHydrant workflows.
Features
- Automated incident creation – When a monitored service goes down, StatusGator opens an incident in FireHydrant.
- Detailed incident information – Incidents include incident messages, affected components, and direct links to the service’s official status page and your StatusGator board.
- Automatic resolution – When the service recovers, the incident is automatically closed in FireHydrant.
Set up the FireHydrant integration
- In your FireHydrant account, go to Settings → API Tokens.
- Generate and copy an API key.
- In StatusGator, go to Integrations → Incident Management → FireHydrant → Add.
- Paste your API key into the field.
- Click Save.
- Send a test notification to confirm everything is working.
What happens next
- When a tracked service transitions to Down, StatusGator triggers an incident in FireHydrant with relevant details.
- Once the service recovers, the incident is marked Resolved automatically.
