Pause website monitor

Need to temporarily stop tracking a website without removing it entirely? Use the Pause Monitor feature to halt status updates without losing the monitor from your list.

Why use pause monitor?

  • Ideal during scheduled maintenance or when making known changes, so you avoid unnecessary alerts.
  • Prevents repeated notifications during intermittent downtimes that you're already aware of.

How to pause a website monitor

  1. Head to your monitor list and locate the website you want to pause.
  2. Click the three-dots context menu next to the site’s name.
  3. Select Pause Monitor.
    • The monitor will be greyed out and show a pause icon on your board.
    • It remains in your list—so you can restart monitoring anytime.
    • On your status page, the most recent status stays visible but no new updates will be sent, nor will subscribers get notifications.

How to resume monitoring

  1. Go back to the monitor list and find the paused site.
  2. Click the three-dots menu again.
  3. Select Resume Monitor.

Monitoring will resume immediately from where it left off.
