Can I restore an incident?

Once an incident is removed, it cannot be restored. All associated data—including updates, monitor history, and incident details—is permanently deleted. For that reason, unless absolutely necessary, it's best to keep the record intact by marking it as Resolved instead.

Recommended alternative: Resolve instead of delete

To remove an incident from ongoing view while keeping its history:

  1. Open the incident and change its phase to Resolved.
  2. Save the update.

This accomplishes two things:

  • The incident moves out of the Ongoing tab.
  • All associated monitors automatically return to Up status.

Using Resolved preserves transparency and maintains a full log of past incidents in the Incidents history tab.
