Brand your status page
You can customize your status page to reflect your organization’s identity and provide a professional experience for your users. Branding options include adding your own logo and favicon, customizing layout and theme, applying advanced branding, using a custom domain, removing StatusGator branding, and branding your notification emails.
Add your logo
- Go to Status Page settings from the left menu.
- Open the Design tab.
- Under Logo, click Upload.
- Add both light and dark versions of your logo (PNG, JPG, or SVG recommended).
Tip: Use transparent backgrounds (PNG) for best results across themes.
Add a favicon
- In the Design tab, scroll to Favicon.
- Click Upload and choose a square image (32×32 or 64×64 pixels recommended).
- Your favicon will appear in the browser tab next to your page title.
Customize layout and theme
- Theme – Choose between light, dark, or system default.
- Layout – Select a 1, 2, or 3 column layout for your monitors.
Advanced branding options
In the Advanced section of the Design tab, you can fine-tune your branding:
- Colors – Set primary and secondary colors, with separate options for dark mode.
- Header style – Choose between Original or Bold header designs.
- Reset to default – Restore original color settings if needed.
Use a custom domain
- In the General tab of your status page settings, find the Domain section.
- Enter the subdomain you want (e.g.,
status.yourcompany.com
). - Add a DNS CNAME record pointing to StatusGator.
- Once validated, your status page will be available at your domain.
Remove StatusGator branding
- In the General tab of your status page settings, find the Additional Settings section.
- Remove the “Powered by StatusGator” footer in your status page settings to create a fully white-labeled experience.
Brand your email notifications
- In the Subscribers tab of your status page settings, when sending incident updates and notifications to your subscribers, you can customize:
- Logo in emails – Display your brand logo in all notification emails.
- Sender name and email address – Replace the default StatusGator address with your own.
- Email footer information – Add your company’s contact details for consistency and compliance.
Best practices
- Upload both light and dark logo versions to ensure consistent appearance.
- Keep your favicon simple and recognizable at small sizes.
- Use your brand colors consistently across light and dark themes.
- Choose a layout that makes your monitors clear and easy to scan.
- Use a custom domain for professionalism and trust.
- Remove StatusGator branding if you want a completely white-labeled page.
- Brand your email notifications so subscribers instantly recognize your updates.
