Brand your status page

You can customize your status page to reflect your organization’s identity and provide a professional experience for your users. Branding options include adding your own logo and favicon, customizing layout and theme, applying advanced branding, using a custom domain, removing StatusGator branding, and branding your notification emails.

Add your logo

  1. Go to Status Page settings from the left menu.
  2. Open the Design tab.
  3. Under Logo, click Upload.
  4. Add both light and dark versions of your logo (PNG, JPG, or SVG recommended).

Tip: Use transparent backgrounds (PNG) for best results across themes.

Add a favicon

  1. In the Design tab, scroll to Favicon.
  2. Click Upload and choose a square image (32×32 or 64×64 pixels recommended).
  3. Your favicon will appear in the browser tab next to your page title.

Customize layout and theme

  • Theme – Choose between light, dark, or system default.
  • Layout – Select a 1, 2, or 3 column layout for your monitors.

Advanced branding options

In the Advanced section of the Design tab, you can fine-tune your branding:

  • Colors – Set primary and secondary colors, with separate options for dark mode.
  • Header style – Choose between Original or Bold header designs.
  • Reset to default – Restore original color settings if needed.

Use a custom domain

  1. In the General tab of your status page settings, find the Domain section.
  2. Enter the subdomain you want (e.g., status.yourcompany.com).
  3. Add a DNS CNAME record pointing to StatusGator.
  4. Once validated, your status page will be available at your domain.

Remove StatusGator branding

  1. In the General tab of your status page settings, find the Additional Settings section.
  2. Remove the “Powered by StatusGator” footer in your status page settings to create a fully white-labeled experience.

Brand your email notifications

  1. In the Subscribers tab of your status page settings, when sending incident updates and notifications to your subscribers, you can customize:
  • Logo in emails – Display your brand logo in all notification emails.
  • Sender name and email address – Replace the default StatusGator address with your own.
  • Email footer information – Add your company’s contact details for consistency and compliance.

Best practices

  • Upload both light and dark logo versions to ensure consistent appearance.
  • Keep your favicon simple and recognizable at small sizes.
  • Use your brand colors consistently across light and dark themes.
  • Choose a layout that makes your monitors clear and easy to scan.
  • Use a custom domain for professionalism and trust.
  • Remove StatusGator branding if you want a completely white-labeled page.
  • Brand your email notifications so subscribers instantly recognize your updates.
