Enable password protection on a status page
If you want to restrict access to your status page—making it private and secure—you can protect it with a shared password. Visitors must enter this password to view your page.
How to enable password protection
- Go to your Status Page settings.
- Open the Privacy tab.
- Select Password protected.
- Enter a strong, memorable password and click Save.
- Wait a few minutes for the changes to take effect across our global edge cache.
- Use the Preview button to see how the password screen will appear to visitors.
Once enabled, anyone accessing your status page must enter the correct password before viewing it.
Other privacy settings
In the Privacy tab, you can also choose from other options:
- SAML Single Sign-on – Restrict access to users authenticated through your organization’s SAML provider. This option is recommended for enterprise use.
- Disabled – The status page is disabled and not accessible publicly, but you can still preview it from your status page settings.
