Connecting StatusGator to Better Uptime
The Better Uptime integration automatically creates incidents in your Better Uptime account when a monitored service experiences downtime. This helps your team streamline incident response by opening, updating, and resolving incidents without manual work.

- Detailed incident information – Incidents include error messages, affected components, and direct links to the service’s official status page and your StatusGator board.
- Automatic resolution – When the service recovers, the incident is automatically resolved in Better Uptime.
Set up the Better Uptime integration
- In your Better Uptime account, go to Integrations → APIs.
- Generate and copy your API token.
- In StatusGator, go to Integrations → Incident Management → Better Uptime → Add.
- Paste your API token into the API key field.
- Click Save.
- Send a test notification to confirm everything is working.
What happens next
Once connected, StatusGator will monitor your services and trigger incidents in Better Uptime automatically:
- When a service is marked Down, an incident is created in Better Uptime with all the details.
- If available, error messages and affected components are included as comments in the incident.
- Each incident contains direct links to the original status page and your StatusGator board.
- When the service recovers, the incident is resolved automatically in Better Uptime.
