Connecting StatusGator to SharePoint

Embed your StatusGator status page directly into SharePoint so users can view service health, outages, and maintenance events without leaving your SharePoint site.

Set up StatusGator

Get your embed code

  1. Log in to StatusGator.
  2. Navigate to Integrations > Knowledge Base > SharePoint.
  3. Copy the generated embed code.


Set up the SharePoint

Configure SharePoint to allow StatusGator embeds

Before adding the status page, SharePoint must be configured to allow external iFrames from StatusGator.

  1. Open your SharePoint site.

  2. Click the Settings (gear) icon in the upper-right corner.

  3. Select Site information.


  1. Click View all site settings.

  1. On the Site Settings page, select HTML Field Security.

  1. Under Allow external iframes, select Allow contributors to insert iframes only from the following domains.

  2. Add the StatusGator domain, click Add, click OK to save your changes.

Add the StatusGator embed

  1. Open the SharePoint page where you want to display StatusGator.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Select the + button to add a web part.
  4. Choose the Embed web part.
