Protecting your status page with a password

Some StatusGator customers prefer to keep their status page private. If you’re on one of our paid plans and want to secure your monitors, you can set a static shared password for your status page.

Here's how:

1. Navigate to the Status Page section
Go to the Privacy tab and select the “Password protected” option. Enter your desired password and click Save.

2. Deploy and preview
Your status page will be updated and deployed to our global edge cache, which may take about two minutes. Click the Preview button to view your page. Once deployed, visitors will encounter a password-protected screen and must enter the password to access the page.

We welcome your feedback on this feature. If you have any suggestions for how it can be improved, please let us know. If you're on a plan that does not currently support password-protected status pages and you'd like to try it out, please reach out to us.

If you have any questions or problems, please email us or submit a ticket.
