Using Slack Slash Commands

You can utilize commands in Slack to check the status of a specific service.

To do this, head over to the dedicated Slack channel, where you have the notifications from StatusGator set up to go to, and start typing /statuscheck. Doing the backslash, it'll prompt you to choose the statuscheck command, click on it.

After the command, type the name of the service you want to check the status of and hit Enter or the green Slack send message button.

You will get a command result informing you about the status of the service, which is Azure in this case.

You can also use the following Slack commands:

1. /statuscheck help - it will show you the list of all available commands

2. /statuscheck list board name - it will list all the services on a board. Make sure to enter the board name in the following format: /statuscheck list Dashboard for test

3. /statuscheck down board name - it will list only affected services on a board with a status other than Up, so you will see these statuses: Maintenance, Warning, Down
