You can utilize our service description feature, which allows for adding any additional details to a service you monitor. This could be some important notes, a description of what you use this service for, some reminder for your team, etc.
This will add a little question mark icon next to your service name and when hovering over it, it will display your custom text for the service description. This tool tip is displayed on both your status page and your internal dashboard.
You can take advantage of this feature and set a custom description per service by opening up your dashboard and clicking a service icon:
You will be taken to a new screen, where you can view the service details like its Twitter, home page, outage history, etc.
You need to click the Manage button:
You will be taken to a new screen, where you can change the service notification level, component filtering, etc.
Scroll all the way down and you will find the Description field, where you can input your custom text:
Once you're done inputting the text, click Save Configuration, that's it.
