Public status page

A public status page provides a transparent, centralized view of your service health—accessible to anyone with the URL. It displays ongoing incidents, scheduled maintenance, and general uptime in real time.

All StatusGator plans include public status pages by default.

What you can do on a public status page

Visitors and users can:

  • Check ongoing incidents – Incidents appear prominently at the top. Expand the triangle icon for details like affected services, updates, and timestamps. Click the incident name for more information
  • Subscribe to updates – In the top-right corner, click Subscribe to updates. Users can opt into all-service or specific-service notifications. They confirm via email to activate their subscription
  • Unsubscribe or manage preferences – Use the Unsubscribe or manage link in notification emails to edit preferences or leave the list
  • Report an issue – Click the flag icon next to any service to report a problem.
  • Customize the view– Visitors can:
    • Switch between light and dark mode,
    • Adjust the layout (1, 2, or 3 columns),
    • Set refresh intervals for live updates.
  • Check monitor details – Click the triangle or service name to view uptime history, component details, and uptime percentage for the last 30 days.
  • View scheduled maintenance (if available) – Access the Maintenance link in the header to see upcoming maintenance events sorted by date. Includes date/time, affected services, descriptions, and the option to add events to your calendar.
  • Contact support – If a support contact is configured, it appears in the footer for quick access.

Additionally, your public status page can include the status of custom monitors—like internal systems, printers, or other infrastructure—using incidents.

Why make your status page public?

  • Enhances transparency and trust with users and stakeholders.
  • Reduces support burden—users see live updates before contacting you.
  • Removes access friction—no login or password required to see updates.
  • Hosted externally—your status page remains available even if your main systems are offline.
  • Aggregates all service statuses in one place, simplifying monitoring and communication.
